Kellie O'Hara FNP-BC
Join us in welcoming Kellie O'Hara to our Equity Health Denver, NC Clinic.
Kellie started her career 25 years ago in emergency services as a nurse. In 2006 she earn her degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. Her first 5 years as a Nurse Practitioner were spent in forensic medicine leading a local forensic nursing team in Charlotte. In 2011 she transitioned to primary care where she discovered her passion for care that reflects the individuality of each patient, respecting their health goals, values, beliefs, and needs. She believes healthcare should encompass the physical, emotional , and spiritual aspects of each individual in order for them to live their best life.

Kellie is a wife and mother of two children, 9 and 11 years old. She values faith, living for Christ, family, friends and her patients. When she is not in patient care, Kellie loves to watch her children on the football and softball fields, or be in the kitchen cooking or baking.

Our Story
Founded in 2019
Dr. Michelle Schmerge and Dr. Heather Smith started Equity Health to provide patients access to high-quality care, anywhere. We are defragmenting a siloed system by providing accessible primary care, care navigation, and advanced care planning. Our approach is changing the healthcare model with outcomes of reduced hospitalizations and ER visits, as well as an increase in overall patient and employee satisfaction.
